They came at the recommendation of a neighbor who they did some work for and really helped us bring our project from purely an idea to a great backdoor space. A few other enclosure companies we reached out to didn’t give us the time of day since our project was a bit further out. The city of Austin is a nightmare to work with permitting wise, but Southland stuck with it throughout the full project and coordinated perfectly with our pool builder to deliver a great project. A M10 December 2025Wish I knew about Southland earlier. Excellent experience thus far with no complaints. Extremely professional, patient, timely with high attention to detail. HOA approval required multiple rounds and Southland was patient and constantly helped all along the way. City permit was applied for automatically by them which was highly appreciated. Product delivery was on time and framing was completed by Omar within two days. Very impressive. Our project is still ongoing and will continue to post updates. Excited for the final result. Taylor and Hunter are excellent to work with. I tip my hat for their dedication. Michelle Bryant14 August 2025I had 4 pool enclosure companies come out and give me bids on my project. One of the 4 was outrageous but the other 3 were very, very close in cost and design. I chose Southland Pools for 2 very specific reasons: 1) they were able to give me an estimated start date of 5 to 6 weeks after approvals and 2) Taylor was very easy to talk to and it was obvious that he understood what I was trying to do. Hunter, my Project Manager, got the HOA submission turned in & we were approved in less than a week, cement guys were able to start a week after that, and then due to someone else not being ready Brian & Michael were there to start my project just a few days later. They were able to get my enclosure up in 7 days. And Michael made sure that everything was cleaned up & put away at the end of each day so that there was no inconvenience to my family. Turns out that we were able to start and finish my job in less than the 6 weeks that I was quoted and I could not be happier. As you can see from the before & after photos, my pool enclosure has made my outdoor living space more inviting and comfortable for the entire family. An issue with a misplaced dog door was quickly and easily corrected by the team at Southland so even my pups are happy. Having some construction experience, I was totally impressed by their design/build style of building. Our enclosure is extraordinary built, all the way down to heavy wire sets like large commercial structures are built. The weather is horrible today but I will add photos. Our pool caretaker loves the enclosure and discounted the rate because the enclosure keeps your pool much cleaner than open pools. The shading material that surrounds the enclosure has a sun block in it! It can reduce solar rays up to 40%. Entering the enclosure in the heat of the day is very impressive. The temperature is much cooler, no direct sun or wind. It's the best outdoor investment we've ever made. These guys have great service as goal #1. This is a special company focused on their customers. If you are considering any type of enclosure, call Southland Screen Enclosures first and you don't need to make another call. Orlando Chavez10 January 2023Shouthland Screen Enclosure (SSE) did an outstanding job designing and constructing an extension for my existing patio roof and screening two walls. They sent proposal immediately, submitted all documentation/supports required my HOA obtaining approval with no issue at all. Approval from HOA was critical to me since I tried initially with another Contractor and they were not able not provide the required drawings and support HOA requested so initially they did not approve my project request. Once I got a contract with SSE they worked with diligently to get approval and we did. Great job! Another aspect was SSE did ask for downpayment until the job is approved by HOA which is great, the first Contractor asked money from day one. Bad! Once approved SSE started construction about 2 weeks later and quality was impecable, so now we are enjoying our patio very much. See attached pictures. My wife and I were given options related to non movable screens all around or motorized screens. We chose one motorized screen that fit our budget, and put that screen in the perfect location based on their recommendation. A hole appeared in one of our screens near the bottom that was probably done by an animal. We called Taylor and he sent his employee to repair the hole at no cost.
